Associated Professor in Biochemistry at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

Research activities and skills

Research field includes the study the health effect of air pollution; in particular, the studies are focused on the molecular mechanisms-PM mediated, involved in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
She is responsible of new project that has the aim to find news phytochemical compounds have the ability to contrast the oxidative stress caused by polluting agents and that seems to be related to of the central nervous system (CNS) diseases including such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and neurodevelopmental disorders.
She is the coordinator of second level master degree, masterADA - Nutrition and Applied Dietetic
